June 15, 2009 -- Infotech Enterprises, a global technology solutions provider with headquarters in Hyderabad, India, announced that it has signed a multi-year contract with inCONTROL Tech (iTEC) of Malaysia to implement an Enterprise GIS Information System for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) which is the largest Electric Utility in Malaysia. This implementation is a part of TNB’s long term GIS roll out plan for all their circles nationwide. The partnering contract was signed between John Renard, President of Infotech’s UTG division and Harvinder Singh, Managing Director of iTEC during a signing ceremony graced by prominent executives from both organisations.
This is the first time that Infotech will be executing a multimillion dollar project for a Malaysian Utility and the project spans over a period of 5 years. Under this project, Infotech and iTEC would be offering an SOA (service oriented architecture) based solution for enterprise GIS information management to TNB. This implementation would help integrate and streamline business processes across various functions within TNB.
