ESPRIT 2009 at the Machinery & Electronics Exhibition Kanazawa, Japan, May 21-23, 2009

Camarillo, Calif. — May 4, 2009 — The latest version of computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) software created by CAM industry leader DP Technology will be on display May 21-23 in Kanazawa, Japan, where ESPRIT® 2009 will be featured at the Machinery & Electronics Exhibition Kanazawa, or MEX Kanazawa, 2009.

Set to take place at the Ishikawa Indstrial Exhibition Hall, MEX Kanazawa, now in its 47th year, is a showcase for metalworking technology aimed at highlighting cutting-edge, time-saving technologies.

Visitors to the ESPRIT booth will have the opportunity to see firsthand the latest developments in ESPRIT designed to maximize machining performance, ensure accuracy and create reliable simulation. Product demonstrations will be conducted by knowledgeable ESPRIT representatives also available to discuss the latest upgrades.

Twenty-two new 5-axis machining strategies have been added to the existing 5-axis functionalities of both ESPRIT SolidMill and SolidMillTurn FreeForm®. These new simultaneous 5-axis machining cycles are available for both milling and mill-turn machines, translating to even greater machining flexibility and improved cycle times.

The new patent-pending FreeForm 5-axis composite machining cycle débuting in ESPRIT 2009 allows the user to independently define the machining pattern and the tool orientation strategy to be used when creating the simultaneous 5-axis tool path and includes 20 different machining strategies (cycles) in one, resulting in a wide range of easily manageable possibilities. The new ESPRIT composite machining cycle gives the user the ability to perform simultaneous 5-axis machining for a wide variety of different parts and industries, including aerospace, medical, and automotive, through one simple user interface.
