April 23, 2009, ANAHEIM, CA – VERISURF X, the newest software release from model-based metrology pioneer Verisurf Software, Inc., has become the company’s fastest selling new product introduction in two decades, it was announced today.
The next generation ‘X’ version software package was first previewed late last year, and through the end of March 2009 had exceeded sales of all of the company’s previous releases.
“Reaction to Verisurf X has been overwhelming and very gratifying,” said Ernie Husted, President of Verisurf. “Beyond our traditional aerospace markets, we are finding excellent response in industries as varied as automotive, medical and energy.”
VERISURF X features Verisurf’s proprietary common platform technology for managing all CMMs, articulating arms, laser trackers and other emerging technology measuring devices. It provides powerful capabilities for inspection, reverse engineering and reporting from a single interface, saving time and investment in multiple platforms
“In developing this new release, we concentrated on really listening to what our global customers were telling us about their changing and evolving technology needs,” Mr. Husted explained. “Then we engineered the software to deliver unprecedented power and flexibility to rapidly and accurately acquire and handle data, including large point clouds, from laser scanners and other high-volume devices. We also made the navigation system easier to use and to customize, while simplifying the learning process to make it very efficient.”
NEW VERISURF X FEATURES:
- Simplified menu structure for faster, easier operation.
- Always-available feature tree for enhanced access to powerful inspection platform and data.
- Both real-time and offline inspection to meshes.
- State-of-the-art CAD system for model-based inspection and reverse engineering.
