KUKA Robotics Expands Global Reach with the Opening of Canadian Subsidiary

TORONTO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 22, 2009 KUKA Roboter GmbH is pleased to announce the formation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada. The Canadian subsidiary will serve the growing number of KUKA robotics customers in Canada by providing local sales, services and support.

In response to the announcement of the Canadian subsidiary, Stuart Shepherd President of KUKA Robotics U.S. and CEO of KUKA Robotics Canada stated, “Opening of the Canadian subsidiary is a key step in support of KUKA’s continued growth in the Canadian marketplace. KUKA robots, controls, and omniMove™ motion systems are utilized in many different facets of the robotics industry from automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, entertainment, logistics, food, pharmaceutical, medical, foundry and plastics industries and in multiple applications including material handling, packaging, palletizing, welding and surface finishing.
