New Geospatial Intelligence Class for Emergency Management

March 27, 2009 – Corpus Christi, Texas. A new Geospatial Intelligence for Emergency Management class is being offered by Texas A&M University’s National Spill Control School. This new two day class focuses on the use of emerging geospatial technologies for the Emergency Operations Center. Topics include Integrating Realtime Weather for GIS, Specialized Weather Applications, HAZMAT Plume Modeling with ALOHA, GPS Photo Mapping for Damage Assessment and how to put together a “GIS Go Kit”. This class is designed for GIS Users wanting to apply their skills to emergency response and Emergency Managers wanting to learn how to make better use of geospatial tools in the EOC.
