Tanner EDA Announces 64-Bit Windows Version of Affordable, Interoperable and Easy-to-Use Analog/Mixed-Signal and MEMS Electronic Design Software; Version 14 Allows for Larger Designs, Runs up to 25% Faster

SAN JOSE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Mar 18, 2009 -- ISQED -- Tanner EDA, the world leader in PC-based analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) circuit design tools, announced today at the International Symposium of Quality Electronic Design (ISQED) that a new version of its affordable, interoperable and easy-to-use electronic design software is available now. Version 14 of Tanner Tools Pro™ and HiPer Silicon™ takes advantage of 64-bit Windows platforms, allows for larger designs than the 32-bit version and runs up to 25% faster than the 32-bit version.

The 64-bit version works the same as the previous 32-bit version, but gives designers the option to use as much memory as their Windows platform has for larger designs. The 32-bit version was limited to 2GB of memory.

"We improve our software to take advantage of computer hardware trends that help our users," said Nicolas Williams, Tanner EDA Director of Product Management. "Version 14 doesn't have memory limits and is optimized for 64-bit computers, so users can work on designs as large as their memory capacity allows and accomplish more in less time."
