Baker Team Awarded FEMA Risk MAP Program Production and Technical Services Contract

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 10, 2009— Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Alternext US:BKR), announced today that BakerAECOM, LLC, a limited liability company of which Baker is the managing member, has been informed by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that it has been awarded one of three separate Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contracts for Production and Technical Services (P&TS) for FEMA’s Risk MAP Program.

 

BakerAECOM, LLC’s 60-month performance-based contract is comprised of a 12-month base period and four, 12-month option periods with a maximum contract value of $600 million. Under the terms of the contract, FEMA’s three P&TS contractors will provide engineering and other technical services including production of effectual, flexible and sustainable Risk MAP products that are aligned with user needs using innovative production processes; strengthening beneficial partnerships for improved understanding of flood risk and hazard information; and promoting use of Risk MAP products throughout the Risk MAP lifecycle at the local level for loss reduction.
