MapQuest Enhances Business Locator

DENVER—(BUSINESS WIRE)—March 3, 2009— MapQuest announced the re-launch and enhancement of Business Locator, an integrated search tool featuring one click integration that lets users display retail locations, such as movie theaters, restaurants, gas stations, coffee shops and other types of businesses and categories, directly on their maps or along their routes.

Business Locator also offers unique advertising opportunities by letting advertisers keep their brands visible on MapQuest maps and routes, showing their exact locations and relevant, detailed information for the business.

“Business Locator provides our users with an easy-to-use tool that finds locations of interest within a map and along their routes,” said Christian Dwyer, Senior Vice President and General Manager, MapQuest. “This new feature also provides our premium advertisers with a unique opportunity to promote their brand to users planning their travel needs.”

Additionally, MapQuest has revamped MapQuest.com to include a full screen map and easy-to-navigate tab style for maps and directions.

Business Locator is the latest addition to the MapQuest experience, http://www.mapquest.com, which now includes a refreshed MapQuest.com website; My Places, a personalized mapping experience that lets MapQuest.com users save maps or routes and access them from any browser or via the MapQuest 4 Mobile free downloadable application; MapQuest Local, a unique set of local features that have been integrated into MapQuest.com; and an optimized version of MapQuest.com for the iPhone.
