As of June 1, 2007, the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) took effect in the EU with an initial named list of 15 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Article 33 of the regulation states that if you ship a product that includes an SVHC you must provide the recipient with sufficient information to allow safe use including, at a minimum, the name of the substance.
Based in North America, Total Parts Plus aggregates and maintains Full Disclosure material content information with a process of people, software and quality control to normalize the data from all suppliers. TPP's Content Complete web application provides the capability to match your product part information to the associated REACH and RoHS data with engineered output for direct import into all major Regulatory Management, PLM and MRP systems.
"Have you been asked if you are REACH or RoHS compliant? If you have you are likely aware that Yes/No certificates are no longer adequate. You will need all the weights and measures of the materials in your components," states Peter Robinson, VP of Total Parts Plus. "How are you going to do this? TPP maintains ready to receive Full Disclosure part information for regulatory reporting that is formatted for your current PLM, MRP or regulatory management software. We're the vault of data that companies are looking for."
