Using BSI’s National Parcel Layer from PlaceBase’s Pushpin Platform
Mill Valley, CA - December 1, 2008 - Boundary Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce LandVoyage by LandNet Corp of Loveland, CO as the first application to use Placebase’s recently added national parcel layer to their Pushpin® platform. The parcel layer, as used by LandVoyage and delivered by Pushpin, is an online implementation of BSI’s National ParcelMap Data Portal (NPDP™). This online NPDP™ implementation consists of 62 million parcel boundaries in 580 counties linked to situs, characteristics and owner information attributes. This online deployment of NPDP™ may be industry’s largest geoserver deployed polygon database.
The standard PushPin NPDP™ user interface enables locating an address by displaying its parcel boundary over road maps, ortho and oblique imagery supported by attribute queries. “We have found PlaceBase Parcels rapid prototyping API ideal for enabling LandVoyage to instantly extract content from PlaceBase Parcels and add it as another spatial layer within our patented property management geo-textural data model,” said Craig Harrison, inventor of LandVoyage.
Dennis H. Klein, BSI president said “This implementation is fulfilling a dream to make the use of digital parcel boundaries a reality all over the USA enabling everyone to enjoy vastly reduced transaction cost and increased transaction quality.” Subscriptions to Pushpin’s Parcel layer and/or LandVoyage is available on a transaction or password basis.
