Next generation of the award-winning Indji Watch SaaS released

November 26, 2008 -- iintegrate Systems has today revealed the new version of its online asset and threat-monitoring system, “Indji Watch”, just after the product was announced winner of its category in the 2008 Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards.

Indji Watch Version 2 has been completely rebuilt to intelligently interpret a range of natural hazard data feeds and track their changing movements in real time.

As the hazard moves within close proximity to any asset, whether they are fixed or mobile, the system generates detailed notifications and automatically updates these notifications with new information as the nature of the hazard or asset changes.

All this information is immediately published onto a mapping interface, giving businesses increased transparency of operations and allowing them to act quickly to avoid natural hazards interrupting service, damaging infrastructure or threatening life.

Product Manager Mark Carniello says the major difference in the new upgrade is the efficiency by which Indji Watch continually processes complex information and immediately makes it available in real time.

“Now Indji Watch is truly event driven, so every time any asset or threat changes, the system redefines the relationship between these two features and automatically updates itself to reflect real world situations,” he said.

“This is a major breakthrough for industries reliant on changing environmental conditions. Now large quantities of environmental data can be analysed, modelled against assets and communicated in real time.

“Now, Indji Watch is even more powerful in helping to maintain operational stability for industries that risk major interruptions in service from natural hazards.”

The SaaS (Software as a Service) product is available to customers immediately, without requiring specialised IT infrastructure and is scaled to grow with more datafeeds and features to keep in pace with customer’s needs.

For the past year, Indji Watch has been successfully monitoring the eastern seaboard electricity network, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, analysing up to 80GB of data a month.

The new release of the product uses Microsoft’s Virtual Earth, .Net3.5 and SQL Server 2008 Spatial and Silverlight technology to deliver the world’s first online real-time asset monitoring system. Work on the new upgrade began in mid-2007 and was funded by an Ausindustry Commercial Ready Grant.

The product created a sensation in the spatial industry this week after it was announced as the winner of the Innovation and Commercialisation Category in the 2008 Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards, the premier awards that recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations engaged in the spatial information industry across the region.
