EMA Inc. Selects geoXMF’s XMF Alerter for Providence Water’s Enterprise GIS Implementation

Longmont, CO, November 14, 2008 --- geoXMF LLC announced today that EMA Inc., a leading consulting company for utilities, government and manufacturing has selected geoXMF’s XMF Alerter as the GIS performance monitoring solution for Providence Water Supply Board’s (PWSB) enterprise GIS implementation.

“GIS is now at the center of PWSB’s mission-critical IT systems,” said Brian Schrantz, EMA Project Manager. “Through this enterprise implementation we have integrated ESRI GIS with Hansen CMMS and Customer Star CIS.”

The enterprise GIS is a Linux-based system running ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE on Oracle 10g databases. “Since this is a critical business system for PWSB we wanted a real-time monitoring system in place from the start,” said Schrantz. “XMF Alerter will be monitoring map services, as well as the SDE connections.”

XMF Alerter will help PWSB GIS staff to understand key performance indicators (KPI’s) of the new enterprise system, insure higher system uptime and increase staff productivity as they can focus on higher values tasks for PWSB.
