Submit an Abstract for the 2009 ESRI International User Conference

The Deadline for Abstract Submissions Has Been Extended to November 14, 2008

Redlands, California—October 21, 2008—Professionals using ESRI's geographic information system (GIS) technology are encouraged to submit an abstract for possible presentation at the 2009 ESRI International User Conference ( ESRI UC). ESRI invites users to play an active role in the conference by presenting their experiences with GIS during a moderated session. The deadline for abstract submissions has been extended to November 14, 2008.

The ESRI UC is the largest GIS conference in the world, drawing more than 14,000 professionals from across industries. Attendees acquire new skills, build valuable relationships, and explore the latest geospatial technology. With more than 900 user presentations given during the conference, the event offers participants a tremendous opportunity to learn, share, and collaborate.

"Being involved in this conference by presenting a paper is an outstanding way to inspire and assist your peers," said ESRI president Jack Dangermond. “Discuss experiences, answer questions, and get to the root of goals and challenges you may have in common with your audience. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of these sessions that promote teamwork.”

For presenters, the reward from sharing best practices, enlightening and influencing others, and building a network of contacts is tremendous. From a unique application of GIS for data management to serving geospatial information over the Internet, the wide variety of topics presented each year appeals to users who want to gain insight into using the geographic approach to problem solving.

Next year's ESRI UC will be held July 13–17 at the San Diego Convention Center in California. Abstracts can be submitted at www.esri.com/ucpapers.
