Camarillo, CA - October 14, 2008 - Surfware, Inc., developer of SURFCAM® Velocity CAD/CAM systems, announced today that Josh Lucas has joined the firm as an Aerospace Application Engineer.
Lucas has an extensive background in milling, including operations, programming and machine set up for a variety of aerospace products. His experience involves training others on SURFCAM software and designing and producing custom tooling and fixtures using SURFCAM software. He has used Truemill® to ensure a high level of quality and productivity while cutting hard-to-machine materials such as Inconel, titanium and cobalt chrome.
"We’re very pleased that Josh has joined our Application Engineering team,” says Stephen Diehl, President and CEO of Surfware. “His background using SURFCAM Powered by TrueMill in the aerospace industry perfectly complements our expanding footprint in that industry. We look forward to drawing upon his expertise in demonstrating the superior performance of SURFCAM and TrueMill to aerospace firms."
"I have been a user of SURFCAM powered by TrueMill for many years" says Lucas. “I chose to bring SURFCAM into the last shop I worked at because of the distinct advantages it afforded me as a programmer. The ease and reliability of the TrueMill toolpath along with increased productivity and tool life make SURFCAM an indispensable tool. I look forward to bringing the far-reaching TrueMill benefits to assist businesses with their manufacturing needs."
