The partnership allows SMS to distribute mPower Integrator, an online mapping utility, with SMS' online permitting package TOTAL-Permit. The first phase of the mPower Integrator solution is offered to municipalities, counties, and states in an effort to provide cost effective online GIS services.

mPower Integrator combines a simple intuitive interface with comprehensive search features and an expanded level of customizability providing mechanisms for citizens and municipal officials to conduct parcel searches, dynamically link to tax card data, print parcel maps to PDF, and generate abutter lists, all from any computer with Internet access.

SMS pairs Integrator with its online TOTAL-Permit application. TOTAL-Permit allows citizens and contractors to submit and pay for building permits electronically from any computer with Internet access. TOTAL-Permit also provides a building inspector interface for permit viewing, approval, and inspection reports. All data is housed securely on SMS' remote server. TOTAL-Permit has a scheduled release date of third quarter 2008 and is currently in beta testing.
