August 25, 2008 -- Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc.’s (GTG) GIS Manager’s Workshop is coming to Forsyth County, Georgia, on Thursday, November 20, 2008. The workshop will be held at the Forsyth County Public Safety Complex and is ideal for GIS and IT professionals.
The GIS Manager’s Workshop will occur in conjunction with GIS Day, which takes place the day before the workshop. Forming part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, Forsyth County’s location will provide students with the practical knowledge many GIS managers must have to succeed.
Forsyth County is just one location in the series of workshops that GTG’s owners, Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, are offering nationwide this year. Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS. All topics focus on local government. Learn how to effectively find funding for your GIS, like Forsyth County has.
“GTG’s long lasting relationship with Forsyth County, as well as the County’s devotion to a successful GIS, makes them a perfect host for the GIS Manager’s Workshop,” said Curt Hinton, GTG’s CEO. “Together, we will provide insightful and practical examples of how a GIS can be successfully implemented.”
