August 05, 2008 -- Victoria, British Columbia — Latitude Geographics has released a new version of its popular Geocortex Essentials software that delivers full support for ESRI’s ArcGIS Server 9.3.
Geocortex Essentials 1.4 offers more than just basic ArcGIS Server 9.3 compatibility. In addition to ASP.NET script callbacks, Geocortex Essentials 1.4 introduces full support for MS AJAX partial postbacks incorporated as part of ArcGIS Server 9.3.
For 1.4, the Latitude Geographics development team also conducted a detailed Geocortex Essentials performance review. To coincide with performance improvements in 9.3, these enhancements have boosted general performance and concurrent user capacity.
The general release of Geocortex Essentials 1.4 comes after weeks of user beta testing. “We often get asked about our responsiveness around ESRI’s major releases”, observes David Stevenson, CTO of Latitude Geographics, “and I think shipping a release-candidate beta offering full support less than two weeks after the 9.3 release speaks for itself.”
Core development on a major upcoming Geocortex Essentials release continues, which will integrate important emerging ArcGIS Server developer technologies as well as introduce several new tools.
