Richmond, VA - July 29, 2008 - Timmons Group, a leader in geospatial and engineering consulting services, was recently selected by the State of Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Division of Forestry to build an Enterprise ArcGIS Server application called the Wisconsin Forestry Inventory & Reporting System (WisFIRS). Timmons Group has assisted many clients with their ESRI ArcGIS Server infrastructure and solution needs including the Virginia Department of Forestry, Missouri Department of Conservation and South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks.
Timmons Group was selected through a competitive bidding process to assist the agency in performing applications development and requirements definition related to the integration of land management with geospatial technologies. ESRI’s ArcGIS Server will be leveraged to create a centralized web-based land management portal with advanced features including web-based editing. Remote editing will also be facilitated from ESRI’s ArcMap leveraging SOA technologies and reusable components.
