Virtutech Sponsors Multiple Events at Design Automation Conference

—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 9, 2008— WHAT: Luncheon panel discussion, Real World Advantages of the OSCI TLM-2.0 Standard for Interoperability and IP Reuse, sponsored by Virtutech, Inc., the leading provider of virtualized software development solutions for embedded electronic systems. Moderated by Ron Wilson, executive editor of EDN, the panel will include comments on the OSCI TLM-2.0 standard from panelists Ken Tallo, director of virtual platforms, SoC Enabling Group, Intel; Tauseef Kazi, principal engineer, Qualcomm; Prakash Rashinkar, director of engineering, Rambus. Complimentary lunch provided; doors open at 11:30 a.m.

WHY: This informative lunch panel brings together a unique combination of thought leaders in electronic systems, software, and semiconductors for a lively discussion on the economic impact of ESL, SystemC and transaction-level modeling (TLM). Attendees will learn why the release of the OSCI TLM-2.0 standard is important to them and how organizations are using it today to increase design success and improve productivity. Panelists will also venture predictions on the future of TLM-2.0 and how it can create new value by enabling significantly earlier architecture definition and software development for SoC designs.

Virtutech Sponsors Special Workshop on New OSCI TLM-2.0 Standard

WHAT: Virtutech will sponsor the workshop OSCI TLM-2.0 in 2008A Leap Forward for Transaction-Level Modeling Standards.

WHY: This workshop presents details of the finalized OSCI TLM-2.0 standard, which marks the culmination of several years of intensive work by the OSCI TLM Working Group. TLM-2.0 explicitly addresses the interoperability of memory-mapped bus models at the transaction level and provides a foundation and framework for the transaction-level modeling of other protocols.

GreenSocs Leads Tutorial on Efficient Modeling for TLM-2.0

WHAT: GreenSocs will conduct a breakfast tutorial, Writing Efficient TLM-2.0 Models with GreenSocs, which also will encompass the new Virtutech SystemC Bridge. This tutorial is sponsored by Virtutech, Circuit Sutra, CoFluent Design, and ESLX.

WHY: The result of intensive work by members of the OSCI TLM Working Group, the TLM-2.0 standard has already been met with an extremely positive response by the ESL community. However, the new Virtutech SystemC Bridge provides even more comprehensive model support, which is especially important for engineers building complex multicore processors.

EVE Demonstrates Virtutechs Simics Simulated Environment at Booth #301

WHAT: EVE, leader in hardware/software co-verification, will demonstrate how its RTL testbenches using the fast TLM-based commercial simulator Simics connected to EVEs ZeBu product.

WHY: Running in a complete virtual environment enables easy software development, testing and retesting of RTL implementations without the cost of creating a complete RTL simulation. EVEs ZeBu implemented an RTL model of a PCI Express device, connected to Virtutechs Simics x86 fast functional simulator, which will be demonstrated at booth #301.
