JETCAM and InspecVision announce collaboration

May 23, 2008 - CADCAM software developers JETCAM International s.a.r.l. and InspecVision Ltd, manufacturers of photogrammetry measuring systems today announced collaboration on both technical and commercial levels to provide enhanced integration between the products.

Companies that are looking to reverse engineer components will be able to benefit from the ability of scanning a previously manufactured part and being able to generate NC code for a nest of those components within seconds. Once parts are manufactured they can then be scanned and compared with the original electronic file for accuracy.

Said Dr Jan Antonis PhD, Managing Director for InspecVision; “Partnering with JETCAM provides our customers with a seamless link at both ends of the production process. Our users can benefit from JETCAM’s broad support of machine tools and cutting technologies, and the automation of all of the processes between the initial part scanning and inspection of the finished part.”

Mike Weber, Managing Director for JETCAM International s.a.r.l. added; “Partnering with InspecVision provides our customers with the physical hardware interface that is needed to import real world part information. We are always looking at ways, both inside and outside of our own product range where we can provide our users with a competitive edge through innovative use of new and advanced technologies.”

InspecVision users will be able to take advantage of JETCAM’s SCAP (Single Component Automatic Processing) facility. This allows the InspecVision system to provide the JETCAM Expert CADCAM software with a CAD file produced from a scan of a component which is then automatically tooled, nested, sequenced and generated as NC code for a specified machine. The process is completely automated and takes only a few seconds. CAD files can automatically tooled or profiled for any CNC machine tool configured within the JETCAM Expert system.
