deCarta Appoints Strategic Sales Director for New German Office

Expanding market for LBS services fuels European demand for location and navigation enabling technology from deCarta

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- deCarta, the leading supplier of software and services for the Location-Based Services (LBS) industry, today announced that it has established a new office in Dusseldorf, Germany, to meet customer needs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) and Central Europe. This expansion is a strategic move to meet the increasing deployment of LBS for fleet-tracking, mobile resource management and personal navigation applications in the region.

Heading up the Dusseldorf office will be newly-appointed senior sales director, Martin Wenzel, who joined deCarta from Navicore OY (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

Wenzel has held numerous appointments at senior level in companies operating in navigation, security and professional and wireless communication technologies. Prior to joining Navicore, Wenzel held the appointment as International Sales Manager at PTV/Map&Guide (Travel & Mobile Products). Wenzel is a qualified engineer having studied at University of Applied Sciences, Cologne.
