Azteca Systems’ Leading Software Extensively Utilized in City and Producing Great Results
Sandy, UT — Azteca Systems, Inc., the leading provider of GIS-centric management solutions, announced today the success of the City of Philadelphia’s enterprise implementation across multiple divisions in their Streets Department. Philadelphia utilizes Cityworks in many areas and continues to expand the use of the software to improve maintenance operations within the City.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been a Cityworks user since 2004. Presently, the City has more than 200 total users across the following Street Department divisions: Highway Operations, Street Lighting, Construction and Facilities, and the Survey group. In addition, Cityworks has been instrumental in executing the Mayor’s “Smooth Streets” initiative to improve the quality of roadways throughout the City. Philadelphia was recently recognized for their accomplishments utilizing and expanding Cityworks in various areas throughout the organization with an Innovative User of 2007 Award from Azteca Systems.
“The focus of Operation Smooth Streets was to launch a targeted and heavy attack on street defects,” said Streets Commissioner Tolson of the Philadelphia Streets Department. “By implementing Cityworks, the Streets Department’s Highway Division was able to execute a strategy where the City of Philadelphia is able to maintain an elevated repair and preventive maintenance standard for potholes and our road system. The result will be less long-term degradation damage of the street surface, while improving the quality of life for our citizens.”
“The City of Philadelphia is one of our outstanding clients that continue to expand Cityworks and experiences numerous benefits in doing so,” states Brian Haslam, President of Azteca Systems. “We were pleased to honor them with an Innovative User Award this year and plan to see many more great results produced within the organization through the combined efforts of our software and their outstanding staff.”
