Rick Cassidy of TSMC to Present Keynote at FSA Suppliers Expo & Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—August 13, 2007— FSA, the voice of the global fabless business model, announces Rick Cassidy, president, TSMC North America, will present a keynote address during the 2007 FSA Suppliers Expo & Conference on September 12 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.

Cassidy's keynote, entitled, "Zero Degrees of Separation (Between Innovation and Profitability)" will focus on how supplier companies promote innovation by building a foundation from which fabless companies can excel. Cassidy will present insights from the foundry side of the supply chain while providing a perspective on what suppliers can do to offer a profitable platform for fabless companies to build upon.

"End customers have a near insatiable thirst for innovative new products and foundries are providing the technology platform upon which to build them," said Rick Cassidy, president of TSMC North America. "But with ever shortening product life cycles - the challenge is to maintain or even improve profitability. Deep collaboration throughout the supply chain is key to achieving both time-to-market and profitability goals. The FSA Suppliers Expo provides an outstanding forum to explore the opportunities and determine best practices for your company."

The FSA Suppliers Expo & Conference will examine the theme of "Innovation and Profitability," and how those key notions shape all companies throughout the semiconductor supply chain. The program also includes the FSA annual briefing, which highlights the latest updates on FSA resources, tools and initiatives. The event will feature more than 100 exhibiting companies and host over 1,500 attendees from fabless, IDM, OEM, supplier and service provider companies.

Gold sponsors include: ARM, Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Inc., Microsoft Corporation, TSMC, UMC and X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries. Wipro Technologies is participating as a silver sponsor.

Complimentary registration is available online through September 7th, and onsite registration is $25. For additional information, visit https://www.fsa.org/suppliers_expo/usa2007/index.asp.
