FRAMECAD Announces Strategic Focus on the North American Market, Opens New Customer Success Center

FRAMECAD, the world leader in steel frame building innovation, today announced an expanded focus on North America following the opening of a new customer success center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The customer success center will feature hands-on demonstrations of FRAMECAD’s end-to-end solution that simplifies and automates steel framing construction, from design and engineering to manufacture, build and delivery to the job site.

Despite the proven benefits of offsite manufacturing, which include repeatability, less reliance on skilled labor and schedule efficiencies, less than four percent of current U.S. housing stock is built using modular techniques. Large construction projects typically run 20 percent behind schedule and as much as 80 percent over budget. With prefabricated cold-formed steel, individual building components and panels, including walls, floors and roofs, can be constructed off-site, providing flexibility for on-site assembly with predictable schedules and with minimal errors that could trigger rework. Cold-formed steel can also be used for fully finished 3D volumetric modules or pods, which are manufactured in a controlled environment and arrive at the jobsite ready to install for accelerated construction with minimal rework and virtually zero waste.

“Cold-formed steel offers a solution to owners and developers frustrated by wasteful, delayed and over-budget projects,” said Curtis Edgecombe, executive vice president at FRAMECAD. “It’s time for a better way to build. By connecting the entire process from design to assembly, FRAMECAD offers a proven path to more sustainable, resilient and affordable structures that not only meet the demands of today but are built to last for the next hundred-plus years.”

“Establishing an Americas Customer Success Center gives our customers an accelerated path to unlock the full value of FRAMECAD,” said Darrell Smithson, head of customer success at FRAMECAD. “It also allows our existing customers to continue expanding their capabilities and skills as they grow their businesses.”

In areas prone to wildfires and extreme climate events, FRAMECAD cold-formed steel framing can help ensure coverage and lower insurance premiums. As insurers limit coverage in wildfire and flood-prone areas, cold-formed steel can withstand extreme conditions, is non-combustible, and mold and mildew-resistant, and maintains its structural integrity when exposed to high temperatures and dynamic pressures exerted by floodwaters.
