Exhibiting in Booth 5440 at the May 2-4 trade fair in Chicago ( www.rapid3dvent.com), RP America will be showcasing 3DXTech’s Gearbox HT2 for fused deposition modeling (FDM) and the UnionTech RSPro800 for large-frame stereolithography (SLA). In addition to UnionTech’s SLA machines, RP America also will be highlighting the new digital light processing (DLP) offerings (Cute 300 and 380) from the Shanghai-based company.

Founded in 2000, UnionTech ( www.uniontech3d.com) is the world’s largest industrial SLA printer manufacturer. The firm first expanded into North America with the launch of Union Tech Inc. in St. Charles, Ill., as a fully owned subsidiary of Shanghai Union Technology Corp., but pulled back from the market in 2019. The company –– which will exhibit in Booth 3255 at Rapid+TCT –– established a new U.S. subsidiary called UTnext 3D Texas LLC in Houston recently and is now better positioned to serve North America.

Paul Anfinson, Executive Vice President of RP America, said: “We are excited to bring UnionTech's technology back to North America via our distribution partnership, as their sole North American distributor. These machines are highly capable industrial printers suitable for serial production. The UnionTech lineup includes some of the largest-frame SLA machines currently on the market and offers users a much more affordable SLA platform compared to the closed-source machines available today.”

RP America, meanwhile, based in New Sharon, Iowa, brings a dozen years of service-first mentality to the equation. The company was founded to service legacy 3D Systems SLA machines before expanding into selling machines and materials in response to customer demand.

“We have an open-source philosophy and are uniquely positioned as an additive manufacturing systems integrator,” noted Anfinson. “Our customers aren't locked into a single manufacturer of machines or materials, and RP America is pleased to provide innovative machinery, materials, installations, and preventative and emergency maintenance services to its customers.”
