Locusview to Showcase New Esri Integration and Expanded Partnership at the Esri IMGIS Conference

CHICAGO, October 27, 2022 — (PRNewswire) —

Company integration to digitally enhance and accelerate construction projects for utilities using Esri's Utility Network

CHICAGO, October 27, 2022  /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Locusview, a digital construction management company for energy infrastructure organizations, will showcase several product milestones and partnership achievements with Esri at the 2022 Esri IMGIS Conference.

Utilities are increasingly relying on Locusview's market-leading Digital Construction Management platform to help manage and digitize the expansion of construction projects. To meet this growing need, Locusview, an Esri Silver Partner, is proud to announce the latest release of LocusviewBuild.

Locusview's new Esri integration and expanded partnership offer a complete end-to-end solution for Esri-based utilities seeking a seamless digital workflow - from design to construction execution to closeout.

"Our customers need to shorten construction lifecycles, get assets booked into service quickly and update their Esri Utility Network with highly accurate data. By digitizing and automating what was previously a manual, paper-driven process, we're helping them digitally transform their construction projects while leveraging their Esri investment", noted Shahar Levi, Co-Founder and CEO of Locusview.

The centerpiece of the release is Locusview Connect for ArcGIS Pro, an ArcGIS Pro add-in that allows GIS teams to easily import Locusview work orders into their Esri GIS Utility Network.

Danny Petrecca, Vice President of Business Development at Locusview, said, "Our continued partnership with Esri is about providing maximum value to our joint customers across construction operations and GIS. Now with Locusview Connect for ArcGIS Pro, users of ArcGIS Pro can easily import Locusview work orders into their company's GIS & Utility Network, rather than entering it manually. The result is a seamless integration with significantly faster close-outs." Danny added, "And, by achieving Esri's ArcGIS System Ready Specialty status, we're giving utilities the confidence that Locusview's solution is aligned with the latest Esri technology and ideal for the GIS user." Locusview Connect for ArcGIS Pro will be listed in the Esri Marketplace, allowing utilities easier access to the add-in.

Jeff Rashid, Director of Global Business Development – Utilities & Telecommunications at Esri, said, "We are excited that Locusview has strengthened its partnership with Esri as reflected in the newly developed Locusview Connect for ArcGIS Pro tool. Our integration between Locusview's Digital Construction Management platform and the ArcGIS System will further enhance our utility customers' mobile experience, not just at the point of data capture, but through to the QA/QC process as utilities update their core Esri System of Record with new digital assets. Partnerships are a key part in delivering the best industry solutions for our utilities customers, and we look forward to working more closely with Locusview in the years to come."

In addition to Locusview Connect for ArcGIS Pro, the company is also releasing a number of new capabilities including:

  • Dynamic Maps: Dynamic maps allow users to see and identify live GIS data from their organization's ArcGIS Enterprise on maps in LocusviewBUILD. The symbology of the GIS data and user access permissions are taken directly from their organization's ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Compatible Units: Locusview automates the translation of reported materials, labor, equipment or services to aggregated Compatible Units with their quantities, allowing utilities to simplify, standardize, and automate construction work and closeout.
  • Graphic Work Design: Integration with Graphic Work Design (GWD) systems helps utilities move away from the legacy "paper job packet" approach towards a Digital Job Packet delivered directly from the GWD system to Locusview. With the GWD data in Locusview, field workers can report as-builts against the GWD, identifying deviations, saving time and avoiding construction and reporting errors, while back office personnel can review the designs and as-builts generated from them.
  • Locusview University: An e-learning platform designed for utility employees and contractors to access on-demand educational courses on web or mobile, with personalized learning plans and custom training tracks to increase knowledge retention and user adoption rates.

Locusview's new features will be demonstrated at booth #210 at the Esri IMGIS Conference on Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2022. To register for this event, please visit the conference website.
