French to represent Series A investors; recent added funding
brings Series A total over $25 million

AUSTIN, Texas - November 19, 2020 - SigmaSense , a Silicon Catalyst Portfolio Company, the global leader in touch screen performance, today announced the addition of David French to its Board of Directors, representing the company’s Series A investors. French brings strong strategic experience and executive management from his roles as VP and General Manager of DSP business at Analog Devices, EVP of the Mobile and Computing Business Unit at NXP and nine years as CEO at Cirrus Logic. More recently, French has been heavily involved in the China semiconductor marketplace as an investor, advisor, hands on manager and board director. He also serves on the Board of several startup companies in addition to Silicon Catalyst, a semiconductor industry accelerator and network where he has been assisting since its inception.

“I’m thrilled to be able to help the SigmaSense team with the DSP and mixed signal experience I’ve accumulated over the years”, said French. “SigmaSense’s breakthrough in current-based sensing appears to have the potential for not only dominating touch screen applications, but finding broad adoption in a variety of sensing markets that can benefit from low voltage, ultra-high signal-to-noise ratios”, added French.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dave to our board, a world-class individual with unparalleled experience in DSP, mixed signal and vertical market segments,” said Rick Seger, SigmaSense’s CEO. “We look forward to David’s advice and strategic expertise in helping to guide our future product roadmap as we build our semiconductor businesses.”

SigmaSense recently finalized their Series A funding for a total of over $25 million including over $3 million of new funding beyond the $22 million of funding announced in September. This new funding demonstrated substantial support from existing investors plus a number of new angel investors. This powerful investor group is in addition to the syndicate of strategic investors the company had announced previously [ link here].
