Arm provides updates for Project Triffid and the Morello Program

As Arm approaches its 30th anniversary later this month, teams across the business continue to focus on driving innovation in every area Arm technology reaches. Today, we wanted to highlight some key updates from our research and architecture teams:

  • Today, James Myers, distinguished engineer at Arm, provides more detail in this blog on Project Triffid, looking at alternative power sources for the IoT, and tackling the question of whether we could build a billion batteryless Arm devices.
  • In case you missed it, last week Richard Grisenthwaite, senior vice president, chief architect and fellow at Arm, shared the latest developments of the Arm technology research program called Morello. Its aim being to change how security is implemented in future products and radically update the security foundations of the digital computing infrastructure.

Both of these projects could lead to exciting new engineering milestones, joining others before them that have resulted in more than 180 billion Arm-based chips being shipped in everything from sensors to smartphones to the world’s fastest supercomputer.

If you’re interested in speaking to our experts about these projects or more generally about Arm at 30 and what it’s taken us to get here, Email Contact

In the meantime we’ll continue to bring you any news highlights as we celebrate this milestone anniversary!
