Hollman, most recently Minima’s executive vice president of products and business development, is a co-founder and experienced semiconductor senior executive with proficiency that ranges from strategy to product development and business management.
“Tuomas offers an engineer's perspective for IC execution and a business leader's insights into global markets,” remarks Heikki Tenhunen, Minima Processor’s chairman of the board. “We are moving to a phase where our sole focus is on lead customer engagements, enabling them on Minima Dynamic Margining IP and scaling the business. Tuomas’ appointment will aid in our drive toward first customer product releases incorporating Minima Processor Dynamic Margining technology. Further, I would like to thank Toni Soini for his strong contributions in leading the company as its first CEO.”
Hollman began his career at Texas Instruments, serving in increasingly important roles, including general management and profit and loss responsibility for multiple product lines. From Texas Instruments, he joined Exar Corporation as division vice president of power management and lighting with oversight of strategy, product development and marketing. He joined Minima Processor from MaxLinear in 2018, through its acquisition of Exar Corporation, where he continued to lead the power management and lighting products. Hollman holds a Master of Science degree in Microelectronics Design from Helsinki University of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics, both in Finland.
“Minima’s Dynamic Margining technology and the team behind it are exceptional,” states Hollman. “I am honored to be a part of it and look forward to working with the employees and the board to establish and execute a clear vision.”

Hollman will participate in a panel titled, “Hey Alexa, who should I talk to about implementing low-power, always-on wake-up applications?,” during the 56th Design Automation Conference (DAC) Monday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at the DAC Pavilion.
The Minima Processor Approach
Intended for a range of markets, including microcontroller, internet of things (IoT), in-body medical and connectivity, Minima Processor’s ultra-low power technology for near-threshold voltage design uses dynamic margining to minimize energy consumption while maintaining yield in SoCs. The Minima dynamic-margining approach is an IP-based methodology for near-threshold voltage design that combines hardware and software to enable circuits to function at their lowest possible power for any given task, data or ambient condition.
