Polygonica Software exhibited at DEVELOP3D LIVE 2019 in hometown Sheffield

March 29, 2019 -- DEVELOP3D LIVE 2019, the UK conference and exhibition celebrating design, engineering andmanufacturing, is being held only 10 minutes’ walk from MachineWorks’ offices, at the University of Sheffield. Attendees staying overnight at Endcliffe Village will be able to wave at MachineWorks on the way to the show.

Polygonica, MachineWorks’ 3D-modelling toolkit for polygonal mesh and point cloud manipulation, will be on display with its latest developments for shrink-wrapping, handling of large point cloud data and automatic hole filling.

Polygonica offers a wide range of key functionality to Additive Manufacturing workflows such as automatic STL fixing and polygon mesh healing including fast removal of self-intersections, tolerance-based simplification, support generationand slicing, alongside 2D and 3D offsetting, Booleans, 3D sweeping, hollowing, lattice clipping and quality-based re-meshing.

Built on MachineWorks' core technology for material removal and machine simulation, Polygonica’s unique polygonal modelling technology takes advantage of years of development and successful implementation in the CNC industry.

Polygonica has a wide range of applications, particularly in additive manufacturing and 3D scanning where there is a requirement to solve complex polygon modelling problems when handling defective models with vast numbers of polygons. However it also applies to industries such as CFD/FEA meshing, CAD/CAM/CAE, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, 3D movies and gaming, geo-exploring, urban modelling and other 3D digital applications.

DEVELOP3D LIVE 2019 will take place on 17th April at the University of Sheffield, INOX and Octagon buildings on Durham Road, Sheffield S10 2TG and Polygonica will be exhibiting on stand 47.
About Polygonica

Polygonica is a polygonal solidmodelling toolkit for processing polygon meshes.

Polygonica provides a wide range of geometric operations on polygon mesh models such as automatic solid healing, self-intersection fixingand Boolean operations. Other algorithms in Polygonica allow remeshing, simplification, offsetting and point cloud manipulation.

Built on MachineWorks' core technology for material removal and machine simulation, Polygonica’s unique polygonal modelling technology takes advantage of many years of development and successful implementation in the CNC industry.

Polygonica has a wide range of applications, particularly in the fast-growing fields of additive manufacturing and 3D printing, where there is a requirement to solve complex polygon modelling problems when handling defective models with vast numbers of polygons. Polygonica is embedded into software solutions in a wide range of industries including mechanical CAD, CAE, CAM, dental, medical, mining and AR/VR for large capital asset industries such as BIM, offshore, plant and shipbuilding. www.polygonica.com.

About MachineWorks Software

MachineWorks Limited has been providing cutting-edge software engines to manufacturers across the world since 1994.

MachineWorks is a software development toolkit used by manufacturers looking to simulate any type of CNC machining and check for clashes and gouges in the full machining environment.

More than 60% of CAM developers in the world have integrated MachineWorks software which sets the standard for CNC simulation and verification component software in the industry. MachineWorks is integrated not only into CAM applications but also into stand-alone verification applications and controller-based applications, including collision avoidance systems. www.machineworks.com.
