LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2019 — (PRNewswire) —

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- BeBop Technology, provider of the most robust and secure platforms and solutions for moving media workflows to the cloud, announced today that Autodesk, Inc. has enabled use of its software in the cloud. BeBop will leverage the Autodesk virtualization policy for the cloud and deploy on the BeBop cloud post-production platform for users.

The BeBop platform enables processing-heavy post-production projects such as visual effects and editing in the cloud on extremely powerful and highly secure virtualized desktops. Creatives can process, render, manage, and deliver media files from anywhere in the world on BeBop using any computer and as small as a 20mbps internet connection.

Autodesk is a world leader in entertainment, 3D design and engineering software and more specifically provides software for digital media creation, management, and delivery, ranging from film and television visual effects, color grading, and editing to animation, game development, and design visualization. Its principal products for media and entertainment include 3ds Max, Arnold, Flame, and Maya. Autodesk tools have played crucial roles on a countless range of notable projects, including visual effects for James Cameron's "Avatar" and "Titanic," Christopher Nolan's "Inception," Peter Jackson's "King Kong," and films in the "Harry Potter" franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

BeBop developed its platform to minimize disruption by allowing users to continue to work with same tools they use every day, but in the cloud. Today's announcement of the expansion of Autodesk's licensing terms and conditions to include cloud usage across its Media & Entertainment product line is the first step toward a broader alignment with BeBop to ensure ideal user experiences.

"Autodesk has a long history of creating elegant technology for creatives and has positioned itself to fully embrace the cloud and provide its customers with the flexibility and freedom to work from anywhere, any time," said Bruce Long, CEO & co-founder of BeBop Technology. "We designed BeBop to empower creativity and collaboration in innovative new ways, and we are thrilled to work in concert with Autodesk to provide visual effects artists, editors and animators with the most powerful and secure solutions available today."

The ongoing deployment of Autodesk software on the BeBop platform mirrors the ways BeBop and Adobe work closely together to optimize the experience of Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers; Adobe applications have been available natively on BeBop since April 2018. Additionally, it underscores the opportunity forward-thinking technology companies are leveraging to collaborate on creating solutions to push the boundaries of what's possible in the cloud.

Autodesk software users will now also gain access to BeBop Rocket Uploader, which enables ingestion of large media files at incredibly high speeds for a predictable monthly fee with no volume limits. Additionally, BeBop Over the Shoulder (OTS) enables secure and affordable remote collaboration, review and approval sessions in real-time. BeBop runs on all of the major public clouds, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
