Oxford, England. December 12 2018 -- After a discussion process involving 25 organisations from 7 countries, the Professional PLM Initiative has published its Steering Group Membership Proposal.
The Steering Group is now being formed. The aim is to hold the first meeting in late January, so that the Group will will drive and direct the work program through 2019.
The overall aim of the Initiative is to establish a recognised Professional Body for PLM by the end of 2020. With an estimated 50000 PLM practitioners worldwide, the Professional Body will need to be for the whole industry. The Steering Group is fundamental to achieving this.
Membership of the Steering Group is entirely open, and PLM practitioners from all types of organisation, in any country, are encouraged to join.
Information on how to do so can be found on the PLMIG web site, or via Email Contact.
