Professor Kikkert eBook “RF Electronics: Design and Simulation” Latest Edition Now Available on ni.com/awr

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Augsust 27, 2018 AWR/NI announcement:

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Aug. 27, 2018 – An updated edition of the popular Professor Kikkert’s eBook RF Electronics: Design and Simulation featuring NI AWR Design Environment software is available for free download on the ni.com/awr site. Written by Dr. C. J. Keith Kikkert, adjunct associate professor at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at James Cook University (JCU), the eBook provides a basic understanding of computer-aided RF circuit simulation and key RF component design theories and techniques for the working engineer.

Exploring the design methodology behind common radio blocks such as amplifiers, filter, oscillators and passive components, this third edition now includes a new chapter on RF operational amplifiers (OpAmps) with bandwidths greater than one gigahertz as they offer exciting new capabilities in phased-lock loops (PLLs) and other high-speed applications. The eBook relies upon Microwave Office circuit design software and AXIEM planar electromagnetic (EM) simulator to illustrate design concepts.  Also included is new material on reflectionless filters and three-dimensional printing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), as well as numerous other updates.

To download (registration required) the third edition of the eBook RF Electronics: Design and Simulation, visit awrcorp.com/support-resources/university-support/professors-partnership/professor-keith-kikkert.
