PEABODY, Mass., June 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq:ALOG), enabling the world’s medical imaging and aviation security technology, has announced the release of the AN8150-01 1.5T 20 kW RF amplifier, the first in a new family of rugged RF (radio frequency) amplifiers for the workhorse of MRI systems worldwide. The AN8150-01 will be showcased at the joint annual meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) and  the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB), June 17 – 21, in Paris.

Analogic’s AN8150 RF amplifier family for MRI is scalable in frequency and power from 0.7T to 1.5T and 2.5 kW to 20 kW. The AN8150-01, the first product offering in this new series, is now available. It has a new and improved architecture and design with improved thermal management and high-precision output power. It features new, ruggedized packaging and offers the highest efficiency in its class, setting a new standard for performance, reliability, and value.
