May 14, 2018 - Aedas-designed Stockport Exchange Phase Two was crowned Winner in the Commercial category and also shortlisted in the Regeneration category at RICS Awards 2018, North West. As a regional winner the scheme will compete to be overall category winner and for the ultimate accolade — Project of the Year 2018 — at the RICS Awards 2018 Grand Final in November 2018.

Located in Stockport, UK, the development comprises the first Grade-A, BREEAM Excellent, office to be speculatively developed in Stockport, and a ‘top-10 in Europe’ Holiday Inn Express. Its development has been a commercial and regeneration success setting a new benchmark for quality in South Manchester.

RICS judges said the buildings have rejuvenated a tired and under-used leisure scheme into an attractive and vibrant new commercial quarter.

The project was masterplanned, designed and delivered by Aedas, developed by Muse Developments and Stockport Council, and constructed by Eric Wright Construction. Aedas has been working at Stockport Exchange since 2011, designing and delivering all phases of the scheme to date. Phase 3 is due on site in September 2018.
