Leica Geosystems sets new benchmark for laser visibility

New Leica Lino series increases visibility, introduces innovative Li-ion and adapter concepts

(Heerbrugg, Switzerland, 21 February 2018) – Leica Geosystems, industry leader in reality capture technology, announced today the new Lino series of cross and point line lasers, specially created to ensure outstanding laser visibility. The clever power concept with Li-ion rechargeable batteries enables users to work without inconvenient interruptions. Thanks to the ingenious adapter concept with its strong magnets, the laser is also simple and quick to position.

Leica Geosystems introduces the new Leica Lino series for best laser visibility

"In addition to precision, the most important features of an outstanding point or line laser are highly visible laser lines and practical adapters to allow the laser to be quickly and precisely positioned anywhere on the construction site," says Elvir Malkoc, product manager Lino. “The new red and green Lino laser range fulfils these requirements excellently.”

Smart laser technology for flawless levelling and alignment

All Leica Lino products combine decades of knowledge and experience in the fields of optics and electronics. The result is outstandingly visible and highly precise laser lines. The new green laser diodes are up to 4 times more visible, users can now work more efficiently, even in very bright ambient light conditions. Vertical and horizontal alignment of the lines and points is very easy with these new self-levelling lasers.

Leica Lino point and cross-line lasers can be operated with Li-ion rechargeable or alkaline batteries or they can be connected directly to the power supply. The triple power concept ensures uninterrupted use.

Leica Lino lasers connect to the precision-made adapters by strong magnets, thus ensuring work is done quickly and precisely. The rotating TWIST adapters can be set up on edges and profiles or fixed to tubes and rails. The laser is infinitely adjustable in height thanks to the setting wheel on the magnetic wall bracket. A big help when installing suspended ceilings.

The lasers are manufactured out of high-grade strong materials and are therefore extremely suitable for use on construction sites. The optics are protected by a high-grade aluminium frame and impact-absorbing rubber components.

Availability

The Leica Lino series is available from March 5th, 2018. Details and ordering information can be obtained from any authorised Leica Geosystems sales partner.
