January 29, 2018 -- Australia’s leading provider of authoritative data and intelligent mapping solutions, MapData Services, announced a partnership with the Takor Group, delivering Hema Base Maps into iOS based professional mobile mapping application, Mappt Elements.
The latest offering from MapData Services and the Takor Group brings the Hema Base Map with extensive regional and outback road data to Mappt Elements, an offline GIS app used to create, edit, store and share geospatial data with iPhone and iPad mobile devices.
Ciaran Doyle, Product Manager of Mappt Elements and leader behind the Mappt Elements development team, said the partnership with MapData Services allows for improved workflows, particularly for fieldwork.
“Mappt Element’s ability to integrate with Hema Base Maps means our shared clients benefit from easier navigation, with access to the latest remote outback road and topographic data offline, to collect and gather data in the field.”
“Additionally, this opens Mappt Elements up to a new type of user that may not necessarily be a typical GIS user. For example, the gray nomad or outdoor adventurer.”
MapData Services General Manager Brett Madsen said this partnership is the latest example of the organisation providing content capabilities into other applications, following their Gold Partnership with Safe Software, offering leading spatial data transformation platform FME as part of their digital mapping products or data solutions.
“We are committed to integrating content into other systems similar to Mappt, to expand our digital mapping products, location-based data and tailored solutions offerings for clients, and ensure they are receiving the most cutting-edge technologies,” said Mr Madsen.
