Kids’ Social Media App, Kudos, Secures $5.73 Million in Seed Funding; Adds Key Personnel From Pixar, Instagram, EA, Google and DreamWorks
PALO ALTO, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 15, 2017 — Kudos&Co. Inc. is leading the movement for safer social media experiences for kids. The company just launched a whole new social sharing experience for its popular application where kids have fun sharing pictures, reactions and comments while learning to be good digital citizens. As part of the roll-out, Kudos&Co moved its headquarters from Oslo, Norway to Silicon Valley, opened offices in Tiburon, California and 24-hour global moderation, support and AI centers in Bozeman, Montana and Oslo, Norway.
Kudos&Co has secured $5.73m in seed funding, enabling the company to increase business development and marketing efforts and continue to expand its engineering and leadership team. Also added are key executives from Pixar, Disney, Instagram, EA, Google and DreamWorks who are dedicated to creating an entirely unique social media experience built just for kids.

In response, Kudos&Co is developing the Kudos platform, bringing together the social features that kids enjoy in a monitored and more secure environment that parents appreciate. Kudos is a free app available for download in the App Store and on Google Play. The app requires parental consent for use and posting, giving parents peace of mind as well as updates on their child’s activity.
