GSI DataFlex Mobile App Foreign and Domestic Name Search Engine Launch

MCLEAN, Va., June 20, 2017 — (PRNewswire) — Geographic Services, Inc. (GSI) announced today that the Company has released its mobile app, GSI DataFlex, an application that provides U.S. Department of Defense, first responders and rescue workers with the unique ability to accurately search foreign and domestic names worldwide, across languages, based on pronunciation. The geographic names application was selected by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Innovative GEOINT Application Provider Program (IGAPP) and is available at the GEOINT Application Store ( https://apps.nga.mil/Product/iOS/DataFlex/1-0).

GSI's DataFlex app is a mobile application which provides access to GSI's patented phonetic search engine for geographic names. Users can easily find locations by performing fuzzy search on the basis of a place name's pronunciation, rather than its spelling. The program supports searching across multiple languages, vastly improving search times and search results across borders and in diverse areas, without the need to know variations in spelling. Additionally, users can browse the worldwide Geonames database and trace their movement patterns for future use when used for navigation in the field.

Keyvan Rafei, GSI's President and CEO stated, "We are pleased to announce the release of our patented mobile search technology through the NGA IGAPP Store. Analysts and warfighters now have GSI's unique phonetic search technology at their fingertips. Rescue workers, warfighters and others in the field have the challenge of searching for locations where names may be misspelled, or have letters or sounds not present in the English language. With GSI DataFlex, users can quickly identify search results based on name pronunciation, reducing hurdles and improving their response time."
