Materialise 3D Printing Solutions Lead the Reinvention of Radiology at RSNA 2016

3D printed anatomical models: The new standard of care for medical professionals

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Nov. 16, 2016 — (PRNewswire) —  Materialise NV (Nasdaq: MTLS) will showcase the benefits for 3D printed anatomical models for radiologists and their patients during the 2016 RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting. The event will be held from Nov. 27Dec. 2 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Materialise will exhibit in North – Hall B, #7808.

With more than 25 years of industry expertise, Materialise's software and 3D printing service solutions provide the backbone of end-to-end medical 3D printing. These solutions are reinventing radiology, helping increase radiologist's roles in patient care and providing personalized care plans for patients.

During the event, Materialise's Mimics inPrint software will be on display in four high-demand workshops introducing the process of converting Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) imaging into a 3D printed anatomical model. During the workshops, attendees will learn to use Mimics software to facilitate development of 3D printing platforms within their hospitals.

In addition to these workshops, Materialise Founder and CEO Wilfried Vancraen will address the event's 3D Printing Special Interest Group on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m., discussing evidence-based medicine and the use of 3D printed anatomical models, guides and implants as the new standard of patient care.  Materialise will also further discuss the full range of 3D printing solutions for radiologists in daily Mat Chats at 2 pm in booth 7808, during which the 3D printing experts will discuss how to implement 3D Printing into your hospital.
