Canada's First International UAV Show Announces Headliners

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- Oct 18, 2016 -- The International UAV Show, December 6-7, 2016 in Toronto, hosted by The Sky Guys Ltd. and Cambridge House International today confirmed business leaders Michele Romanow, tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Nicole Verkindt, founder and President of The OMX Marketplace and Michael Hyatt, Co-founder and Executive Chairman BlueCat, will lead a keynote panel on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the inaugural UAV Show.

Panelists Biographies:

Nicole Verkindt, Founder and President of The OMX Marketplace

Nicole is passionate about tech, disruption, angel investing, supply chain management and the aerospace sector. She is a regular commentator on CBC's The Marketplace and is a 'dragon' on CBC's NextGen Den. In 2008, Nicole founded, Tiburon is a low-cost, offshore manufacturer located in the Dominican Republic-CAFTA Free Trade Zone of San Isidro, Dominican Republic. Nicole continued to work in the aerospace sector at GMA and founded the Southern Ontario Defence Association, where she remains the President. She founded OMX in December 2011, with the intent to assist Canadian companies in leveraging government procurements and secure contracts, growing their businesses into high tech and international supply chains - with maximum benefit to the economy. She serves on the advisory board of the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and is currently a Board Director at the Canadian Commercial Corporation.

Michele Romanow, Co-Founder of Clearbanc, Co-Foudner of Snap Saves (acquired by Groupon):

Michele is a self-described serial entrepreneur passionate about building technology companies. Driven with enormous energy to lead and grow successful ventures. Michelle joined CBC's Dragon's Den in season 10 as a "dragon." She serves as a public board director, is an active angel investor and often speaks on disruption and innovation.

Michael Hyatt, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of BlueCat

He is a weekly business commentator on CBC News Network, CBC's The Exchange and one of the "Dragons" on CBC's Next Gen Den - Dragon's Den. Michael is a Founding Partner at the Rotman School of Management Creative Destruction Lab, and on the CEO Board of Advisors at Georgian Partners. Michael also co-founded Dyadem, a highly successful software company that was acquired by IHS. He is a finalist in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a recipient of the Top 40 Under 40™ Award, and an active speaker & investor. Michael also chairs his family's charitable foundation.
