Firm pre-qualified to support the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
Fairfax, VA, August 25, 2016 -- Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has been pre-qualified to provide mapping services in support of several projects for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). Dewberry will serve as a subconsultant to Psomas for projects that may be completed under the on-call, three-year contract term.
MWD has pre-qualified the Psomas/Dewberry team for aerial photogrammetry, mapping, and surveying services to support a range of planning, design, and property acquisition projects primarily located in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. Potential projects include the Palo Verde Irrigation District Record of Survey Project, the Potential Regional Recycle Water Supply Program, the Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Program, the Right-of-Way Infrastructure Protection Program, and the Conveyance and Distribution System Rehabilitation Program.
Incorporated in 1928, MWD’s service encompasses 5,200 square miles and includes portions of six counties. The district’s 26 member agencies include 14 cities, 11 municipal water districts, and one county water authority. MWD imports water from the Colorado River via the Colorado River Aqueduct and Northern California via the California Aqueduct.
Dewberry and Psomas have previously teamed on Dewberry’s National Geodetic Survey contract to conduct the agency’s National Height Modernization Study.
