Leica CalMaster provides industry’s only ISO certifications for rotating lasers calibration, opening new opportunities for construction companies
HEERBRUGG, SWITZERLAND, 4 May 2016 – Leica Geosystems, global leader of measurement and reality capture technologies, today released the Leica CalMaster, the industry’s only calibration system issuing ISO certifications for rotating lasers.
In a compact size, the system uses intuitive software and automatic functionality to perform laser checks, adjustments and issues calibration reports at the push of a button. The Leica CalMaster is the only checking and calibration system in the industry to issue the ISO 17123-6 certification for repeated accuracy and reliability of rotating lasers.
“With the certification according to ISO 17123-6, for the first time we are able to give our customers proof of the repeated accuracy of rotating lasers,” said Axel Grosch, general manager of Kovacs + Mangold GmbH in Nuernberg, Germany. “We are proud to be the first service centre in Germany who can offer this certification to customers, maximising their chances to win governmental bids and fulfil all international quality standards.”
Opening new opportunities
With the Leica CalMaster, rotating laser owners eliminate time- and cost-intensive maintenance requirements by quickly and efficiently having their lasers not only checked but also calibrated by their local Leica Geosystems representative. The highest accuracy standard on Leica Geosystems rotating lasers and their calibrations opens up new opportunities for construction companies and other users, increasing professional reputation and, therefore, the likelihood of winning bids.
For ISO-certified construction companies and those who bid for international, regional and local projects, proving construction equipment is calibrated according to the highest market standards is extremely important for business profitability. With the Leica Geosystems Calibration Certificate Silver, they receive a guarantee their Leica Geosystems rotating laser has been checked according to the ISO standard. This ensures the laser performs with complete and stable accuracy while reducing risk of application mistakes.
