The Digit Group and CyberCity 3D Ink Development, Sales and Marketing Agreement Using Streaming 3D Maps for Smart Cities IoT Solutions

(April 26, 2016 Los Angeles, CA)    CyberCity 3D, Inc., a top geospatial 3D modeling and streaming services company headquartered in Los Angeles County, CA has signed a development, sales and marketing agreement with the digit group. The Chicago-based company is the leading Smart Cities solutions provider, supplying greater security, increased safety, lower energy use, and a better urban experience.

The two companies, jointly developing 3D applications for Smart Cities, are focusing on 3D dashboards and 3D construction monitoring tools powered by CyberCity 3D streaming building server technologies – coupled with an open architecture 3D globe application platform.

"Streaming 3D maps and dashboards, functioning on the latest web architecture, are well-suited to be integrated with many of our current smart city programs," stated the digit group's Founder and CEO Paul Doherty. "We see synergies with our current apps and new opportunities to extend and utilize big data in the cloud".

The agreement signed by CyberCity 3D and the digit group also makes the digit group a welcome national distributor of CyberCity 3D’s Streaming 3D Maps, its other 3D building solutions, and Smart Cities solutions the collaboration creates.

"Streaming 3D solutions like those offered by CC3D/the digit group enable big data integration and maximum consumption because this web architecture works on all mobile devices. With the mass migration to wireless, big data can be shared and analyzed in a visual 3D environment easily now," stated Kevin DeVito, Founder, Executive Director, & CEO of CyberCity 3D, Inc.

City planning and development agencies are already becoming early adoptors of Streaming 3D Cities, with Miami Downtown Development Authority and Downtown DC being just two of nearly 20 organizations going to the "3D Stream".  Upon announcing its deployment this month, the Miami DDA site got one million hits.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming how we work, including the way cities and their stakeholders consume and take action from 3D information systems like those being developed and deployed by CyberCity 3D. Software applications used in nearly all city information programs are operating more and more from the cloud. Some applications, like CC3D steaming maps, are 100% web-based. This saves money, maximizes awareness and allows for real-time changes to be communicated to stakeholders throughout the city.
