Harris Corporation to Hire 300 Employees in Brevard County; Hosting Career Fair March 11

MELBOURNE, Fla. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — February 29, 2016 — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) will host a career fair March 11 as part of its effort to hire 300 new technical and other open positions at its Brevard County Florida operations.

The company will hold the Harris Brevard County Career Fair at its Harris Technology Center in Palm Bay from noon to 6 p.m. on March 11. Candidates will be able to engage with Harris representatives who will discuss the breadth of available positions and career opportunities and will conduct on-site interviews. Harris is seeking to fill the 300 new engineering, finance and supply chain positions to support its Electronic Systems, Critical Networks, and Space and Intelligence Systems segments. The technical openings are for experienced software, mechanical and electrical engineers who will work on a variety of important programs that the company supports in air traffic management, weather, space, cyber and electronic warfare. The finance and supply chain openings will support many of these same programs.

Many of the open positions will be based within the company’s ultra-modern 464,000-square-foot Harris Technology Center (HTC), which serves as the innovation hub for Harris’ more than $1 billion advanced research and development efforts.
