Displaying hundreds of thousands—or even millions—of features on a map using your geographic information system (GIS) datasets can be a challenge. This is true whether you are working with Esri ArcGIS for Desktop apps such as ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro or publishing your map using an ArcGIS for Server map service.

To familiarize yourself with techniques to efficiently render—in advance or on demand—very large datasets in products derived from those datasets, tune in to the live training seminar  Drawing Millions of Features in ArcGIS: Advanced Techniques, onFebruary 18, 2016.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

  • Spatially aggregate large datasets into rectangular bins and hexagons.
  • Spatially aggregate large datasets into standardized geographies such as counties and states.
  • Display large time-series datasets quickly and efficiently.

This live training seminar will be of interest to GIS analysts, server administrators, and others who use ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server and need to display large datasets.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Account is easy and free: visit  esri.com/lts, click Sign In at the top right, click the Create Account tab, and register your name and email address.
