CCE’s Unified Interface for Parasolid Libraries Feature Extended Persistent ID Support

Support Extended for SOLIDWORKS and Solid Edge

FARMINGTON HILLS,Mich.Jan. 19,2016)--CCE, leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has released an update of its Unified Interop(UIOp) for Parasolid libraries.

Among many significant updates to CCE’s UIOp libraries, persistent ID support has been extended for SOLIDWORKS and Solid Edge.  Persistent ID support enables creation of associative interfaces that allow incremental updates to CAD data when the source data is changed without having to translate the entire model.  This is a very powerful idea in CAD interoperability that keeps a link between the source and destination systems and has been implemented by several leading CAD ISVs, many of who are CCE customers.

“We are proud to announce the ability to export geometry as tessellated formats in our UIOp libraries; formats include CGR, DWF, PDF, and JT.  By extending the choices on how to export geometry, we are providing users with an easier way to share complex design data as lightweight tessellated formats across the supply chain,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s VP of Sales & Marketing.  “Tessellated data is ideal for protecting Intellectual Property inherent in designs while sharing data with third parties,” added Wagle.

CCE has also added support for Parasolid 28.0 data in UIOp.  In addition, users can now export multi-CAD data to the latest version of JT (10.0).

About Unified Interop for Parasolid(UIOp):

Unified Interop for Parasolid (UIOp) is a set of CAD independent interoperability libraries for Parasolid-based CAx Systems that provide read access to information stored in 3D CAD files via a unified architecture. UIOp is an additional 'layer' created on top of CCE's robust ODX libraries and converts native CAD files to Parasolid. UIOp supports latest versions of CATIA V4, V5, V6, Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, JT, Inventor, Rhino, SketchUp, ACIS, IGES, STEP, STL, and VDA formats. The libraries are supported on Windows 7, 8, and Linux (RHEL, SUSE) platforms.
