Rambus Cryptography Research and Riverside Research will co-host a two-day workshop on identifying and preventing advanced security threats. The workshop, designed for developers and architects of hardware and software security products for defense and government industries, will cover side-channel analysis, including Simple Power Analysis (SPA), Differential Power Analysis (DPA), and their electromagnetic analysis counterparts, SEMA and DEMA.
Participants will perform hands-on exercises to recover AES and RSA private keys. In addition, live demos of side-channel attacks and analysis will be performed on a mobile phone, ECC device, and FPGA platform by using the Rambus Cryptography Research DPA Workstation™. Other lecture topics include DPA countermeasures and testing for side-channel analysis vulnerabilities.
Technologists designing and testing tamper resistant systems for government and defense applications, mobile devices, financial systems, pay television, mass transit, secure ID, and secure storage media are encouraged to attend this workshop. Additional details can be found here.
