LARGE 3D CAD MODELS FOR MOBILE USERS: KISTERS 3DVIEWSTATION WEBVIEWER 2015

Aachen, 2015/10/21: KISTERS 3DViewStation has announced the release of 3DViewStation WebViewer.  The WebViewer version of 3DViewStation provides extremely fast 3D viewing, advanced analysis and Digital MockUp (DMU) for browser based viewing and mobile users of Tablet-PCs and Smartphones. Your data; how, when, where you want. No client installation required.

The new 3DViewStation WebViewer version 2015 offers unique possibilities: From now on, mobile users will have the same performance, the same APIs and the same functionality, which have previously been only available to Desktop users.

50.000+ parts assemblies can be viewed on a Smartphone in seconds with 3DViewStation WebViewer using a mobile data connection. At the same time the functionality provided is much more than the usual navigation via zoom, pan, rotate and selection. Like the desktop version of 3DViewSytion, the WebViewer user can section complex models, perform measurements, dimensioning, transformations and even draft angle analysis. With both, the WebViewer or desktop version of 3DViewStation, users can create help geometries and coordinate systems, and markup functions are available too.

A highly functional XML based  API has been added to all 3DViewStation configurations, the new WebViewer as well as the Desktop and ActiveX versions. This API allows an integration into any software or workflows, typically PLM-, ERP- and CMS-systems; it can also be used very effectively for product configuration solutions. Assembly data can be loaded and modified dynamically, using transformation matrices for every single part.

All product flavors are intended to be used together with a PLM-, ERP- or other management system providing all necessary APIs . For cloud, portal and web-solutions there is a HTML5-based WebViewer solution available, which does not require any client installation at all. All file formats can be used in combination with the intelligent navigation and hyperlinking features to address needs of complex integration scenarios.
