Hodgetts + Fung Architecture and Design studio presentation will highlight Sacramento’s new Jesuit High School Chapel and Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- On Friday, October 23, 2015, Craig Hodgetts, FAIA, founding principal and creative director of Hodgetts + Fung Architecture and Design studio, will deliver the keynote speech at the annual AIA Central Valley Design Awards. Hodgetts + Fung recently completed the Chapel of the North American Martyrs, a new LEED Silver building on the campus of Jesuit High School in Carmichael, Calif. The Chapel has been praised for its combination of drama of angular exterior geometries and gently curved interior walls, and for serving as a symbolic entrance to the campus, and will be awarded a Regional Recognition Award at the event.

Additionally, Hodgetts + Fung recently completed the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, which opened to the public in July 2015. Other current H+F projects include the renovation of the historic Robert Frost Auditorium in Culver City, the Rosa Parks Metro station, and a mixed-use development in West Hollywood; additionally, the firm is the official architect of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies’ track and station, scheduled to begin construction in 2016.
